Gia Muresan
Gia Muresan is an award-winning Producer whose career in Entertainment spans 30 years and two continents. She has developed Motion Pictures and Television projects for many of the industry’s leading Studios, building a reputation for shepherding ambitious, star-driven films from script to screen.
For a decade, Gia developed motion pictures for the French company Atelier 72, later producing for Capital Motion Pictures. Her early work as a Producer includes “Imaginary Friend” (2007) and the psychological thrillers “Drifter” (2008), “Laura” (2008) and “The Visitor” (2009), a run that established her instinct for elevated genre material.
With Ingenious Media Group, Gia produced “Code Red” (2013), distributed worldwide by Entertainment One, followed by “The Ninth Cloud” (2014) starring Jean-Hugues Anglade and Michael Madsen. She went on to serve as Executive Producer on “Gun Shy” (2017), Simon West’s action comedy with Antonio Banderas and Olga Kurylenko, and on “London Fields” (2018), the crime thriller adapted from Martin Amis’s acclaimed novel, with an ensemble including Amber Heard, Billy Bob Thornton and Jason Isaacs.
Her recent slate reflects the caliber of talent she attracts. Gia was Executive Producer on “Come Away” (2020), Oscar-winning director Brenda Chapman’s fantasy drama starring Angelina Jolie, David Oyelowo and Michael Caine, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival before its U.S. release through Relativity Media. She then served as Co-Executive Producer on “Black Flies”/”Asphalt City” (2023), Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire’s searing drama with Sean Penn, Katherine Waterston and Tye Sheridan, which world premiered in official competition at the Cannes Film Festival and was released theatrically in the U.S. by Open Road Films.
Over three decades, Gia has cultivated an extensive network of US and European partners. Under her new partnership with RiverRock Films, she is working alongside RiverRock CEO Paul Bunch on a slate of features to be shot in Europe.
